Sit around the house = Eat a lot

Breakfast: Life cereal with 1% milk

Lunch: Ritz crackers, peanut butter & jelly sandwich (not shown 'cause I got too hungry and ate it!), a cup of Orange juice. (I just brought the whole box to work)

Dinner: I made a whole-wheat pizza with Colby Jack cheese, green bell pepper, mushrooms, tomato, and spinach. I made the dough from scratch. It wasn't as tasty as the "white" pizza dough I usually make, but it was okay. Al and I had a few slices. This is what was left over.

Snacks: Cranberry juice, tortilla chips, Spicy Doritos, a slice of Colby Jack cheese, an Almond See's Candy that was sitting on Alma's dresser for who knows how long, and 1/2 a baked potato with sour cream and Romano cheese.

I ate a lot today. Especially at night. I think the longer I sit around the house, the more I eat...

Yesterday Food

Breakfast: Quaker Oats Cereal and 1% milk

Lunch: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich on Whole Wheat bread, Apple, Tortilla Chips, and carrots. I usually eat lunch at my desk for two reasons: (1) because I'm a sad and lonely person and no one wants to eat lunch with me and (2) I work through lunch so I can leave earlier!

Dinner: Leftover spaghetti with firm tofu added on top and some Romano cheese. The tofu added a bitter taste which wasn't so good, but the cheese made up for it. I mainly wanted the protein from the tofu. From counting calories in the past, I find that I don't get enough protein or Fiber in my diet on a regular basis.

Snack: I only had a snack after Hula class which consisted of a handful of tortilla chips and a handful of Spicy Doritos. Alma was right, I should have resisted...

Exercise: Hula dancing! My shirt was SOAKED with sweat at this class for some reason. I was super sweaty, but so were my hula sisters. We practiced our kahiko over and over and over. I meant to take a picture of my class (with my phone!) so everyone could see, but I forgot on the account that I was too sweaty :) We also practiced our otea -- which is looking pretty good so far! -- and I'm finally getting the jumping thing down. It's going to look AWESOME in July, I can't wait for Ho'ike!

Mobile Blogging is FUN!

Testing 123...Mobile Blogging is FUN! Get ready for a lot more food pictures. I'm trying to lose weight for my next Hula show -- and to just look sexy -- so I figure a good way to do that is keep track of what I eat via pictures.

This is what I had for lunch today! $5 lunch special at Novellus: Mongolian beef with steamed vegetables, white rice, 1 chocolate chip cookie, and 1 Peanut butter cookie. (actually, this is ALL I ate today so far...I didn't wake up in time to eat breakfast)

Here's dinner. Alma made some yummy taco salad: pinto beans (they're at the bottom, I made this taco salad upside down) + taco seasoning, Mexican mozzarella cheese, spinach (we didn't have lettuce), tomatoes, Tapatio sauce, and tortilla chips. I had 2 bowls like this, then ate the rest of the tomatoes and spinach plus beans, cheese, and a couple handful of chips. Sooo good.

Here's dessert (and my mail -- sorry for the crappy picture!). I only ate a handful of chocolate chips! Not the whole bag. That's non-caffeinated Chai tea with milk and a little bit of sugar.

I don't know how "un-caffeinated" the Chai actually is... I ended up staying up kind of late. But maybe that was due to the workout I had: 40min Aerobics on Netflix.

All and all, I think my protein intake was good with the Beef & beans. I think whole wheat / whole grain intake could have been better. I got probably 3-4 servings of vegetables and maybe 2 servings of fruit with the cranberry juice I was drinking (not shown). Calories might have been in range -- but I'm not counting at this point. I used to count, but it makes me feel OCD and anxious. I definitely don't like that, since anxiety makes me eat more. Plus, taking pics with my phone is still fun!!

Bacon and Doodles

Started the day strong with a hearty breakfast of grease at Goodie's Good Eats (Formally known as Goodie's II) with my family today! It was great. Alma and I both got the French Toast (mmm), but I got mine with 2 Bacons (droooool) and Al got hers with scrambled eggs (not as good as bacon). After this meal, I had enough fuel for packing and hauling boxes for my friends' "moving party" for five hours today. Whew -- that was a good workout. Thankfully, my hard work was rewarded with pizza from Mountain Mikes (yeah, I've fallen off the diet wagon today...) After gorging myself on pizza, I came home for a relaxing evening coloring in my totally awesome "Doodles: A Really Giant Coloring and Doodling Book" by Taro Gomi. After completing a few masterpieces, I realized how much my sister's "doodles" made my masterpieces look like doodle-crap! Here are a few examples:

Exhibit A: my series of drawings that I thought looked super-duper!
Exhibit B: Alma's series of drawings! Geez -- why did she have to use EVERY color in the coloring box and totally show me up?!! I think my favorite is the "nose" picture -- that's Claire.
Exhibit C: Alma's stripey, colorful, giraffe.
(sorry it's sideways! I'm too lazy right now to fix it...)
Exhibit D: My sad excuse for a giraffe. At least it has cute shoes...
